Our technology uses vacuum toilets and a separate sanitation system, which efficiently collects and treats black water. This makes Desah ideally suited for sustainable neighbourhoods, healthcare facilities, holiday resorts and other locations where self-sufficient water management is desired.

Our black water treatment technology delivers effective and sustainable treatment of toilet water (black water), with separate collection and treatment of urine and faeces.
This first involves biological conversion of organic matter via a UASB reactor, resulting in biogas production and a significant reduction in sludge production.
Then, nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphate can be efficiently recovered with processes such as OLAND and struvite precipitation.
This creates a compact, energy-efficient solution suitable for decentralised and circular applications: from leisure and care facilities to housing projects.
