Desah black water treatment

Compact and sustainable on-site toilet water treatment

Desah offers an advanced, compact system for the local treatment of black water; the waste water from toilets. Our technology enables the recovery of valuable resources such as nutrients and energy. The solution is suitable for situations where toilet water can be treated locally, such as a residential area, hospital, holiday park, festival or mobile toilet facility.

Besides permanent units, we also offer a pilot plant that you can rent from us.

Features

Our black water treatment technology provides efficient and sustainable treatment of toilet water (black water).

For this purpose, Desah has developed an Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Banket (UASB) reactor in which wastewater is treated by converting organic matter into biogas.

Additional steps in the process enable nitrogen and phosphate removal or recovery.
