Desah decentralised wastewater treatment
Smart, circular solutions for local water reuse
Desah designs and supplies innovative systems for decentralised wastewater treatment. Our compact, modular systems make it possible to treat wastewater locally and recover valuable raw materials, energy and heat. In doing so, we contribute to a circular water chain - efficient, sustainable and future-proof.
Our systems are used in new construction and renovation projects, offices, holiday parks, hotels, remote locations and temporary facilities such as construction sites or mobile sanitation systems.
Thanks to the flexible design, our plants are easily scalable and deployable as stand-alone treatment plants or to complement existing WWTPs.
Features
This Desah technology is based on source-separated wastewater collection.
The system separates grey water (from shower, washing machine, kitchen) and black water (from toilets) at source and treats both streams separately.
- Greywater is drained by gravity and energy-efficiently purified.
- Blackwater is vacuum collected and processed in a compact plant with energy and nutrient recovery.
This approach saves users up to 30% on drinking water consumption and relieves the central sewerage system. Moreover, the treated water can be reused for toilet flushing or irrigation.

Advantages
- Up to 30% drinking water savings through reuse of treated water.
- Recovery of heat and raw materials (such as struvite and biogas).
- Reduced load on sewerage and WWTP.
- Energy-efficient and low operating costs.
- Compact system, modular and flexible.
- Maintenance and servicing can be done by us.
- Proven technology and demonstration site available.
